Nothing like Valentine’s day weekend to make you appreciate all your lovely girlfriends and spend some quality time together. In just a few hours, Hubs will be officially booted from the house and the place will be filled with ten or so of my beautiful friends.
I’ve never been a huge proponent of Valentine’s day. It completely misses the true spirit of what love is supposed to be. This ‘holiday’ also misses the rest of the people in our lives that deserve to be shown that we love them.
To all the women reading right now, this Valentine’s Day weekend remember your girlfriends who understand you and keep you sane. Show them some love – give a friend a call, go out for cake and appreciate the people in your lives that we often can’t seem to make time for due to kids, husbands, families, jobs etc.
Right now, I am super excited to decorate the house (because it feels so much more like a party when the house is decorated). I’ll be sitting down in about an hour to make these awesome poms. Check out Martha Stewart’s site for the DIY instructions.
